A.N: Just a little idea that came to me at work a while ago. I finally have time to write them all out. I've literally just finished writing this.

“Hey boss, you coming for a drink?”

 “Fullmetal, what mess have you caused now?”

 “Ed, what have you done to my beautiful automail?”

 “Edward, have you come to drop off your report?”

 “Hey Ed, How’ve you been?”

 “Edward, did I teach you how to do that?”

 “Edward Elric, I do hope you are keeping well.”

 “I love you brother.”

 Ed shot up in bed, faint traces of tears on his cheeks. He looked around, slightly dazed but as he gained some semblance of consciousness, his body began to droop. He was alone, his friends, his brother, were not here. They were there, out of reach.

 He lay back down and turned onto his side, hugging his knee as close to his chest as he could with only one arm. He felt a fresh tear slip from the corner of his eye and run down towards his ear as he shut his eyelids tightly.

 He tried to get back to the dream, tried to force himself back into sleep because even a dream about his lost family would be enough. Even a dream as sad as this would be better than nothing at all.

Yeah, exactly! XD
'Eternal Darkness' actually started out as 'Dancing with Death' as I started to write it. Then the story got more and more dark, did a few twists on me that I hadn't thought of before... so I changed it around, and this is what it came to in the end XD
