Summary: Roy wonders what’s up with Ed and maybe has an epiphany of his own
A.N: This needed to be written and if I can tease it out there may be more to follow. My brain doesn’t seem to like NaNo month. The ideas are there but getting them down on paper is getting harder to manage. Completely fresh from typing, I've done a cursory check for errors but other than that nothing. Sequel to The Epiphany

Roy was wondering about something, in fact it had been niggling at him for a while now. What was up with Ed? They’d been flirting around for the better part of a year now, the banter getting more and more risqué as the months had worn on but now Ed seemed a little reserved.

There was still some banter but it was toned down, there was less feeling in it. The flirting was being kept to a minimum too. Something was up and he wanted to know what.

The problem with finding out was that whenever he tried to get Ed alone to ask him Ed would make up some sort of excuse and disappear and he’d always have that same look on his face. That dejected look that was a mixture of defeat, loneliness and brokenness.

It had been going on for weeks now, Ed’s heart not being in it, and Roy was sick of it. He didn’t like the feeling that Ed was pulling away from him. The idea that they weren’t flirting and talking like he enjoyed was bringing up other thoughts that he had tried to ignore.

Just how did he feel about Ed?

Flirting was one thing but did he want more?

Was there something between them that he hadn’t yet acknowledged?

He had to find out. The idea that Ed was slipping away from him was unacceptable. Next time Ed visited he would get the young man alone and find out, once and for all, just what was bothering the blond and what he was thinking. And just maybe he might get his own feelings across too.

That was of course, after he had managed to sort through them himself.

I hope there's more to the storyline but we shall have to wait and see :)

This little verse is slowly taking over my brain but that's a good thing. However, Roy wants to get to the good part and doesn't want to work through the angst bit first but I'm making him suffer :)

Ah ha! That reverse psychology thing is working after all! :D Come on Roy! You can do this! You wouldn't have been flirting all this time without there being some feelings there to begin with! :)
