Drabble - Painting the town

Summary: She deserves it, she really does
A.N: I originally wrote this at my tutorial (he mentioned POV and 2nd person and this happened). I’ve edited it just enough to fit Barry and maybe show off my own insanity too. I really don’t know what is wrong with me, I’m not writing my usual characters and more to the point, I’m writing!! This is probably a bad thing and I’ll probably stall during nano but for now I’m happy enough. Enjoy my insanity :D

She’s talking again but you’re only half listening. It’s the same old thing anyway you’ve heard it all before.
You move from the doorway towards the counter, she doesn’t even notice she’s so far gone in her rant. You eye up the equipment, choosing carefully, after all you don’t want to use something unworthy of the woman you loved.
You spy the perfect implement, something you use everyday in your job so you should be able to handle it well, you take it carefully from its holder and turn to face the other occupant of the room.
You smile and walk towards her. She’s asking for it really, the ranting is never ending, it’s not like you’re doing it out of malice, it’s just what needs to be done.
You walk up behind her and hold your weapon high, light gleaming off of the silver cleaver’s blade before you bring it down into her head.
Blood now coats the once spotless blade and it shines brightly, mesmerising you. You want to see more of that wonderful red colour so you bring the cleaver down again and again and again, watching as blood flies everywhere painting the room a wonderful shade of crimson.
When there is no more blood you stop but you still want more. There has to be more somewhere, there has to be. And then you realise, there is. There’s plenty of blood out there to decorate all the walls in Amestris you just have to pick the right targets and they’re all the right targets because they all deserve it. Each and every one of them deserves it.
You tighten your grip on the now stained cleaver and head out the door looking for your first fresh victim, ready to paint the town blood red.
