I do this thing I think of as free writing but it’s actually my version of it. I start with a few words and then just let it flow without really much thought. This is the kind of thing that happens
Title: Proud
Pairing/Characters: Roy/Wrath
Rating: G
Warning: Bad writing
Words: 213
Summary: Roy’s so proud of his lover
Roy/Wrath for Hikari
~~~~~
He was so proud of him; he had come a long way from that boy that had fought against Fullmetal. He had managed to pull himself away from the sadness that had plagued him and had found a way to carve himself a ‘normal’ place in the world.
Not that anything around them was normal. Ed disappearing; Al coming back missing four years of his life; Wrath in general.
No, nothing in their life was normal but he was happy he had a little piece of it anyway. Roy couldn’t say when he’d become so interested in Wrath’s life. When had he started making sure Wrath had everything he needed? That Wrath had a place to sleep? A place to call home? A happy life?
When had he started loving him? It didn’t really matter. The point was he was proud of his young lover, he was proud that Wrath had settled in at the office, even if he was just the errand boy for now, it was something Wrath could look at and say he had achieved. Something Wrath could be proud of.
Yes, Roy was very proud of his lover. He decided to show him just how proud that night by cooking him his favourite meal before an evening in together.
Title: Introspection
Pairing/Characters: Ed, Alfons (Implied Roy/Ed)
Rating: G
Warning: Really bad writing
Words: 301
Summary: Ed does some thinking
Ed introspective free writing
~~~~~
He stood looking out at this new world he’d found himself in. He didn’t understand it yet, he’d been here a year but he still struggled with the customs and not having his alchemy didn’t help any. He missed home. He missed his brother and the guys and most of all he missed Mustang. Sure he was a pain and a bastard, a morally corrupt one at that but he was his bastard.
Ed had made a new friend here, Alfons was nice and kind and looked after him when he first found his way to Germany, after his so called father had gone missing, but Ed didn’t want to get too attached, he didn’t want to miss him when he woke up from this dream.
He wondered constantly how he was going to get home, there must be some way to open the gate from this side he just needed to find it and there was nothing on this planet more stubborn than an alchemist trying to get home to his loved ones. The rules be damned!
He looked out on the city below him, people milling around shopping and chatting. They were all just part of a dream and he’d be waking up soon, he really wished he would be. He heard the door open and looked around to see Alfons stood in the opening.
“It’s time to go Ed, those rockets won’t build themselves.”
“Coming, just give me a minute.”
Alfons turned and left the room, leaving the door open behind him. Ed could hear his footsteps in the corridor. Sighing and taking one last look out of the window Ed turned away and followed his friend to the front door.
It was all just a dream and very soon he would wake up, he just knew it.
