Title: Deep in thought.
Characters: Ed, Al
Rating: G
Warning: Bad attempt at humour?
Timeline: Any time during any series when they’re on a train.
Words: 206
Summary: Ed’s been thinking.
A.N: It kind of resembles what I was going for when I first thought of it. It’ll do :) This was written for the prompt 'Cows' at the fic contest. A bit of bad humour to cheer people up and I promise I'll stop posting for today ^^; And now I need to go looking for an Ed, Al icon :D
“I don’t get it.” Al was startled by his brother’s sudden words. Ed had been staring through the window of the train for hours, undoubtedly working out some new equation, a new circle, something critical to their search.
He looked perplexed and utterly confused and Al wondered just what new idea could do that to a genius of alchemy. It must be something huge and he thought he should offer his help.
“Brother, what don’t you get?” Al waited for what would surely be a profound answer.
“Cows!” Al almost fell off the train seat. He must have heard wrong, there was no way his brother just said cows; it must be his helmet, something wrong with the soul bond.
“Brother, what did you just say? I think I heard wrong.” He hoped he’d heard wrong.
“Cows, I don’t get them.” If Al was human, if he’d had a real face he was sure that it would look completely confused, bewildered and shocked right now and it only got worse. “How can they taste so good to eat but also be the source of the vilest liquid known to man?”
A loud sound reverberated around the carriage as a large suit of armour hit the floor.
