Drabble - FMA - Stargazing

Summary: Wrath and Roy share some alone time.
A.N: Written for my Hikari from a drabble post I made. It has taken way too long to write this but it has killed my apathy which is good. Hope you like it love <3 Also, I know you said romance and sap but I couldn’t stop the little bit of angst that slipped in ^^;

He looked up at the star filled sky above him and smiled. He could feel the warmth of his lover as they lay close together on the blanket that was just the right size for the two of them and he squeezed his hand and felt a squeeze in response.

There had been a time, almost a distant memory now, when doing something like this seemed stupid and useless. There was no point to it, no reason beyond relaxing and before he had met Roy he hadn’t relaxed. He had been too busy trying to take Ed down and that didn’t exactly leave a lot of time for things like this. Now though, this was one of his favourite things to do because it gave him time alone with Roy to think and to enjoy each other’s company without others looking on and judging them.

Now, this was what he looked forward to every month, the night of the full moon when they would come out to this field and just watch the stars for no other reason than they could. It was their time alone, away from the hustle and bustle and the stares and the whispers. Away from the people that looked at them as though they alone were corrupting the youth of Amestris with their evil ways.

They rarely held hands in public because of the stares and they never kissed outside of their own home but here none of that mattered. The world melted away and they could just be content to be together. Wrath lifted their joined hands to his lips and kissed the backs of Roy’s strong fingers, smiling as he did.

He never thought he’d have ended up with this man, he never thought he would fall so deeply in love with anyone but he had and this was how he wished it could always be. He wished they could just stay here in this place and watch the stars shine brightly above them.

Instead they would leave in the morning and go back to the place that hated what they were. The place that looked down on them just for being in love. One day he hoped that would change but he doubted it would be anytime soon.

Still, he didn’t really care, he had never cared what other people thought about him and as long as he had Roy and had friends that understood them he was happy. As long as he had Roy he could stand anything. He turned his head to look at the man he loved and saw that Roy was staring at him.

“You’re supposed to be watching the stars.”

“Why? They don’t shine anywhere near as bright as you.” Wrath blushed fiercely at the comment and turned his face away from Roy’s burning stare, sure that the red of his cheeks was visible even in the dim light of the moon. 

“Stupid…” Wrath didn’t have time to finish his insult, Roy had already moved enough to be in a position to cover Wrath’s lips with his own. The kiss lasted what seemed like a lifetime to Wrath but was really only seconds. It left Wrath feeling breathless and he no longer cared that his face was flushed. 

“You are my star Wrath, and I will always be looking at you.” Wrath thought Roy was being more than a little corny but he really didn’t care. He was happy, at least for tonight and Roy could be as sappy as he wanted as long as they were together here. He turned to face Roy and kissed him again.

“What about the stars?” Roy asked him.

“Let them watch us for a change.” Wrath sealed their lips together again, intent on staying that way for most of the night.

Awwww, that was soooooooo adorable! <3 <3 <3 *snug you lots* I love it :D And that tiny little bit of angst... I don't think it's possible to be entirely without it >.>

That was so sweet I may have a new cavity! *lol* Roy's being incredibly corny, but we'll forgive him. The unintended image I was left with; though, was voyeur!stars. Kitten's watching alongside them. XD

I can't actually believe that that much sap came from me, it's almost unheard of, I nearly went into sugar shock :P

I pretty much see you lot as the stars anyway and you're all a bunch of voyeurs and pervs so it totally fits that you're up there watching alongside them :D
