Places I will visit before I'm dead!

I haven't been to many places in my life but I plan to change that so here is a list of all the places I will get to just because they are a must to visit or because I would love to go.

 - Scotland - preferably somewhere out of the way and not one of the major cities. I want to walk around one of the lochs at sunset and sit and write in a place with so much history it can't help but seep into your writing.

 - Wales - Probably somewhere near Snowdon or the Brecon Beacons.

 - Republic of Ireland - that one is pretty much putting a pin into a map with my eyes closed.

 - Rome - because I want to visit the history of it.

 - Venice - because I want to float down the canals in a gondela.

 - Vienna - just because.

 - Paris - because I want to go back and visit all the things I couldn't see the first time like the Louvre.

 - Berliin - because I have to see more of Germany than just Stuttgart and Ulm (although I will be going back to spend more time in Ulm too)

 - Krakow - just because.

 - Athens - history related again.

 - St Petersburg - history related.

 - Japan - Because it has to happen at some point.

 - Various places in the US of A - including San Francisco, New York, and Washinton DC.

 - Canada - probably Vancouver and Toronto.

There will be more added as I get ideas but I'll start with this.

Nice list.

Mine is a lot shorter.

I want to visit everywhere but if I had to chose just 5 places I could do that too :)

Is yours longer than just the Czech Republic? :P

It really is. I want to see Stonehenge and all the places where King Arthur walked.

I keep saying I want to do a [livejournal.com profile] madrona_project tour.

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-19 10:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I live here and I've never seen Stonehenge so I'd definitely come with for that one :)

YAY

[identity profile] nochick-fics.livejournal.com 2012-08-19 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I live just under two hours away from Toronto. If you do go, I want to come with!

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-19 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
I've been looking into it and it's cheaper than going to New York, still it would probably have to take the place of AWA one year (not next year because that is a must) :)

You know I'd love you to come with <33

VANCOUVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR <33333333

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-19 10:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm, I wonder why you think Vancover is so much love :P

Vancouver is about 12 hours and 125 dollars away from here by train. I could possibly do that :D

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-20 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I would love if you could do that and serisouly, it won't be for a few years yet so plenty of time to get organised :)

good, because I don't have a passport and it takes months to get one here.

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-20 06:55 pm (UTC)(link)
It takes months here too. Thankfully when I got mine it was just a renewal of one that had gone way out of date so it only took about a month otherwise I would have been waiting forever for it.

I'm very much a "visit for the history" person also. Unless I just want the chance to celebrity stalk (which is basically my motivation for going to England :S)

I do not see Australia there! I am somewhat disappointed; we have bushland and...more bushland. And beaches. Plenty of incentive :D

That's what I said too!

Don't forget the poisonous spiders, snakes, jellyfish, shells, octopus, stinging trees, and Drop Bears! XD

[identity profile] patheticnemesis.livejournal.com 2012-08-20 09:43 am (UTC)(link)
I didn't forget! It's just so much fun for people to discover those things by themselves, when they're already here and find a Redback on the toilet seat or there's been a shark sighting :D

Haa, Drop Bears. I had so much convincing my French exchange student I rode an emu to school if my pet kangaroo had escaped yet again from my enormous suburban backyard ;)

That's not as funny as you might think, lol. Apparently some Americans think that kangaroos hop around the streets of Sydney, XD

[identity profile] patheticnemesis.livejournal.com 2012-08-20 11:08 am (UTC)(link)
Oh God, no. Redbacks are scarier the smaller they are, and sharks have me deathly afraid of swimming out past the jetty. But honestly, it is funny how little the rest of the world really knows about Aussie culture, especially in states other than NSW. Most think Sydney's the capital anyway!

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-20 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
You two are not helping here you know D:

[identity profile] patheticnemesis.livejournal.com 2012-08-20 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
xD Best to prepare you. But honestly, Down Under is beautiful and depending on what state you go to there's always going to be a different landscape and different climate. In SA for example we're mostly flat with a lot of vineyards inland and small beaches along the coast, but WA is generally outback, even in suburbia, and further North is almost tropical. We make bloody brilliant wine and you can't go past a good snag either ;) (I'm totally not sorry for clogging your inbox with my sales pitching, btw)

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-21 03:09 pm (UTC)(link)
I would love to visit New Zealand because of the beauty of it and yes, despite the evil spiders *shudders* I would love to visit Australia too but it won't go on the list until after I earn more and have visited some of the cheaper places first :P
arashinoookami: (Mostly Harmless)

[personal profile] arashinoookami 2012-08-21 10:35 am (UTC)(link)
Hahahahaha

Don't worry too much, they have anti-venom for pretty much everything poisonous here, so if you do get bitten, you'll most likely survive XD

Seriously though, I don't personally know anyone who has been bitten/stung by any of the creatures I mentioned above, so Australia isn't as dangerous as people seem to think!

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-21 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)
That still doesn't help you know D:

You can guarentee that I would end up being that one person you know, it's just my luck (>.<)

But as I told little miss Australian holiday rep up there ^^ I'll get there eventually but it will have to be after I've done the cheaper visits and after I earn a tad more than I do now :)

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-20 03:10 pm (UTC)(link)
And spiders! Massive and deadly spiders!!!

I will get there eventually but it's more of an 'if I can afford it and am not quite so scared anymore' trips :P
arashinoookami: (Crap)

[personal profile] arashinoookami 2012-08-20 08:52 am (UTC)(link)
Awesome list, except I notice no Australia on there! o_O Please explain!

I want to go to some of the places you've mentioned too, but I can cross one off though, I've been to Japan!

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-20 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
There would be an Australia on there if it didn't have so many deadly and huge spiders O_O

Give me time, I'll get there eventually, I just need to not be so scared of the things that live there. It getting a tad cheaper to fly there wouldn't hurt either :P

[identity profile] amelia-seyroon.livejournal.com 2012-08-21 10:18 am (UTC)(link)
I ought to make a list, too. I did join the Navy for world travel!

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-21 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)
You've probably got a better chance than me of completing your list :)

[identity profile] angel0399.livejournal.com 2012-08-22 05:25 am (UTC)(link)
Cool list! I have like 30 countries on my list.

[identity profile] baroqueangel.livejournal.com 2012-08-22 11:34 am (UTC)(link)
I'm starting small, I have a feeling I could just open an atlas and I'd be able to write down so many places I would love to visit but I'm trying to be realistic :P

I will add more as I visit more places :)
