Summary: How was he any different from the other monsters?

A.N: For the blind challenge prompt 175, Boom, at fma_fic_contest. I didn't place but there were some awesome fics so I'm fine with that :)

He loved his job, he got to do so many fun things. After all, no other job would pay for you to blow things, and people, up and he did love a good explosion.

He knew the other alchemists called him a monster and he got it, he did, but what did they think was so monstrous? He didn’t do anything all that different from them, Flame burned them alive, he blew them up. Where was the difference?

An Ishballan man ran towards him with a knife, the intent to kill plain in his eyes. He disarmed him easily and then wrapped his hands around the man’s wrists. Blue light shone for a moment, when it stopped he released the man and watched as he staggered away, his eyes now showing fear.

With a smile on his face he whispered one word under his breath as he watched the scared Ishballan run for his life before everything exploded into light and noise.

“Boom!”

I actually really liked getting into his head, not sure if that should worry me or not :P The prompt and the muse demanded Kimblee and who am I to refuse the muse? :)

Ah, yes. As with so many monsters Kimblee fails to see that the difference is that he enjoys it!

Yeah, the not having any remorse thing is kind of a hint but Kimblee still wouldn't get it even if you spelt it out for him :)

I love the sophistication of your characterisation for that very reason. Too many people write evil characters like they know they're evil. It's rarely that simple.
