Mai really wasn't sure about leaving the children with Lin but Naru had said it would be fine and Mai trusted Naru.

Still, the amount of times the Chinese man had made children cry in the past didn't really fill her heart with confidence.

It was when she turned around to see the man glaring at one child that had dared to spill water on Lin's computer that she knew it was time to intervene lest the poor child be scarred for life.

Making her wait till she got back from whatever it was she was doing (that couldn't be anywhere near as important as being with Rayfell) so that the vampire could hold her was pure torture.

She would, of course, make Cheryl pay for this patience she was showing which was going to be lots of fun, for Rayfell anyway.
